The European Union offers a variety of interesting funding opportunities for our municipalities. The funding programmes pursue different objectives and address different topics and focal points.

Our German website provides an overview of EU funding programmes of particular interest to the municipalities and the metropolitan region. Programmes are available for the following areas:

• European structural funds
• Urban development, infrastructure, territorial cooperation
• Town twinning, youth and education
• Environment, research and innovation

The overview is in German only because several of the programmes are subject to German or regional guidelines and the municipalities are our main target audience. We therefore refer you to our German-language pages.
